screens. We've got a simple way to clean your windows regardless of size with
just a few easy and easy steps.
STEPS IN HOW TO CLEAN
COMPLETE WINDOW SCREENS:
- Remove the screen from the
window. If you're cleaning several screens, it's best to identify (masking
tape or blue painter's tape can be sufficient) each screen once you remove
them from the windows. This will make installing them, after having been
cleaned, much more straightforward.
- Mix one cup of household
ammonia, one tablespoon of dishwashing detergent, and four cups of water.
Mix the ammonia, the detergent, and water into a giant spray bottle. If
you don't have an ammonia-based spray bottle, you can use the bucket.
- Place the screen in an indoor
bathtub or, if you have a four foot plus broad trough or bucket, this is
the best option if you wish to keep it outside. The dirty window screens
should be run underwater that is lukewarm to remove dust and dirt.
- Find your bucket or spray
bottle and spray or clean the screens using the solution. Make sure that
the entire screen is covered with the answer. Use a soft bristle scrub
brush to clean away any dirt or grime gently. Avoid using a metal brush or
a stiff bristle, as you could easily scratch your screen with bristles,
plastic, or metal brush.
- Then make sure to wash your screens with warm or hot water to remove any remnants. Then you can gently move your screen to get rid of water and let it dry in a relatively humid part of your home.
After a couple of
hours after being dry, the window screen will look brand new and be ready for
the spring and summer breeze.
